Ovoko: How an International Used Parts Marketplace Automated QR Code and Shipping Label Printing for Its Dealer Network
Ovoko, an international used auto parts marketplace, needed its network of dealers to print QR code labels and shipping labels automatically from TSC label printers. Using the ezeep API and ezeep Hub, both label types are now generated and printed without any manual intervention at the dealer's location.
Automated Label Printing Across a Dealer Network
When dealers on Ovoko's marketplace list a used auto part for sale, they photograph it and post it online. The platform generates a QR code that the dealer prints on a TSC label printer and attaches to the merchandise. When a buyer purchases the part, the platform generates a shipping label stored in the cloud. If the dealer accepts the order, the label prints automatically. No manual steps, no downloads, no delay.
The Challenge
Ovoko needed a way to push two types of labels to TSC label printers at dealer locations: QR codes for inventory tagging and shipping labels for fulfilled orders. The previous solution relied on Google Cloud Print, which was discontinued. The replacement needed to support label printers specifically, handle automated printing triggered by platform events, and work across a distributed network of independent dealer locations.
"When Google Cloud Print was discontinued, Ovoko had to look for a new solution. Now, thanks to the API, they can even print the labels automatically."

The Solution
ezeep's API powers the automated printing workflow. When the platform generates a QR code or shipping label, the ezeep API sends the print job directly to the correct TSC label printer at the dealer's location. An ezeep Hub at each dealer site ensures the correct printer assignment and connects the label printers to ezeep's cloud. All printers, including both label printers and standard office printers, are managed centrally through the ezeep management console.
The Outcome
Dealers save significant time on every transaction. QR code labels for inventory and shipping labels for orders both print automatically without the dealer touching a button. The platform operator manages the entire printer fleet across its dealer network from a single console.
Why It Matters
This is ezeep being used as invisible infrastructure inside a third-party platform. The dealers interact with the marketplace, not with ezeep directly. The API handles the printing layer underneath. For any platform or SaaS provider that needs to push print jobs to distributed locations with specialized hardware like label printers, this is a directly replicable architecture.
About Ovoko
