Frequently Asked Questions

Curious about how it all works? Here's everything you wanted to know about ezeep's cloud printing solution!

What is the difference between an ezeep Hub and a Connector for Print Server?

The ezeep Hub is a small hardware appliance that connects directly to the local network and bridges printers to the ezeep cloud without needing a Windows PC or print server. The Connector for Print Server is a software agent installed on a Windows machine that publishes that machine's printers to the cloud. Both appear in the Connectors page with the same status information, and you can use either or both in the same organization.

Can I manage an ezeep Hub remotely from the admin portal?

Yes. Hub remote management lets you access the Hub's web console directly from the ezeep admin portal over a standard internet connection. You can view configuration, check network settings, update firmware, and troubleshoot without a VPN or on-site visit. If the Hub has lost its cloud connection, remote management won't be available until the connection is restored. Remote management requires Pro, Business, or Enterprise.

Does ezeep notify me when a Hub or Connector goes offline?

Proactive offline alerts are on the roadmap but not yet available. Today, connector status is visible on the Connectors page in the admin portal. Check it regularly or when users at a specific location report print issues.

Can I see which printers are connected through each Hub or Connector?

Yes. Select any connector in the Connectors page to see every printer connected through it, including assigned drivers and assignment status. This tells you not just whether the connector is working, but exactly what print infrastructure sits behind it.

Which ezeep plans include connector status monitoring?

The Connectors page with online/offline status, connected printers, and firmware version tracking is available on all plans, including Free. Hub remote management (accessing the Hub console from the admin portal) requires Pro, Business, or Enterprise.
