My Printers: Users Pick Their Own Printers. IT Keeps the Guardrails.
Users search for printers by name, location, or model in the ezeep User Portal and add them with a toggle. The printer appears on all their devices within seconds. No driver installation. No IT ticket. No waiting.
People Move. Their Printers Should Follow.
In flexible workplaces, people change floors, buildings, and locations regularly. Waiting for IT to update printer assignments every time someone moves creates unnecessary friction. My Printers puts that control in the user's hands while keeping IT in charge of which printers are available in the first place.
Self-Service Printer Selection, Within IT's Guardrails
For Users
Log into the ezeep User Portal at app.ezeep.com. Go to My Printers. Browse the available printers, search by name, location, or model, and toggle on the ones you need. The printer appears across all your devices (Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, Android) within about 30 seconds. No driver installation. No restart. Toggle a printer off when you no longer need it.
For IT
My Printers is controlled by the "Printer Selection in User Portal" policy. Enable it for specific groups to give those users self-service access. Users can only browse and select from printers already assigned to their groups. Admin-assigned printers can't be removed by users. IT keeps full control over which printers exist in the organization and which groups can see them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Curious about how it all works? Here's everything you wanted to know about ezeep's cloud printing solution!
What is My Printers in ezeep?
My Printers is a self-service feature in the ezeep User Portal that lets users browse available printers and add them to their own device with a toggle. Users search by name, location, or model and turn printers on or off as needed. The selected printer appears across all their devices within about 30 seconds, with no driver installation or IT ticket required.
Can users add any printer in the organization?
No. Users can only see and select printers that have been assigned to their groups by an admin. Admin-assigned printers remain locked and can't be removed by users. My Printers gives users flexibility within the boundaries IT has already defined.
How is My Printers different from Pull Printing or Follow-Me Printing?
Pull Printing sends every job to a virtual queue, and the user chooses a printer at release time by authenticating at the device. My Printers lets users build their own persistent printer list ahead of time, so the right printers are always ready when they hit print. Both reduce IT workload, but they solve different problems: Pull Printing secures document release, My Printers simplifies printer discovery.
Does toggling a printer on install a driver on the user's device?
No. ezeep uses cloud rendering, so no drivers are installed on any device. When a user toggles a printer on, it becomes available through the ezeep Print App across Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, and Android. Nothing is installed, configured, or changed on the device itself.
Which ezeep plans include My Printers?
My Printers is available on all plans, including the Free plan. The "Printer Selection in User Portal" group policy must be enabled by an admin for users to access the self-service printer selection.
Give Users Control Without Giving Up Yours
Let people pick the printers they need, when they need them. IT sets the boundaries. Users help themselves. No drivers. No per-device setup. No IT tickets.
