Why It Exists

Printer Access Should Follow Your Org Structure, Not Fight It

In traditional print environments, giving someone access to a printer means touching their device. With ezeep, printer access is tied to identity. Add a user to a group, and they get that group's printers on every device they sign into. Remove them, and access goes away. No endpoint configuration required.

How Users Get In

Four Ways to Onboard Users. Zero Ways That Require Touching a Device.

Pick the method that fits your environment, or combine them.
Groups, Roles, and SSO

Groups Drive Printer Access. Roles Control the Admin Portal. SSO Handles the Rest.

Single Sign-On

Let users authenticate with their existing Microsoft or Google Workspace credentials. No separate ezeep password to manage. SSO is available on all plans.

Frequently Asked Questions

Curious about how it all works? Here's everything you wanted to know about ezeep's cloud printing solution!

How does ezeep assign printers to users?

Printer access is tied to groups. Admins create groups (by location, department, team, or role), assign printers to those groups, then add users. Users can belong to multiple groups and see all printers across them. When a user is removed from a group, their access to that group's printers is revoked immediately with no endpoint changes needed.

What are the different ways to onboard users in ezeep?

ezeep offers four onboarding methods: email invites sent from the admin portal, Self-Join links or QR codes that let users add themselves, Microsoft Entra ID group sync that imports users and group memberships automatically, and domain-based rules that auto-assign new users from a specific email domain to a designated group. All methods work independently or together.

Does ezeep require an identity provider like Microsoft Entra ID?

No. Email invites, Self-Join links, domain-based auto-assignment, and SSO with Microsoft or Google Workspace all work without a directory integration. Entra ID group sync is available on Business and Enterprise plans for organizations that want automated user and group provisioning, but it is not required.

Can users choose their own printers, or does IT assign everything?

Both. Admins assign printers to groups, and those assignments are locked. If the "Printer Selection in User Portal" policy is enabled, users can also browse and toggle additional printers within their group assignments. IT controls the boundaries; users choose within them.

Which ezeep plans include user management features?

Email invites, Self-Join, groups, roles, domain-based assignment, and SSO are available on all plans, including Free. Microsoft Entra ID group sync requires Business or Enterprise.
